Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, called the Nightingale of India, has died at the age of 92 in a hospital in Mumbai, world news agencies reported, Nova reports.
Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to hospital in late January after contracting COVID-19. her condition worsened and she developed multiple organ failure.

Lata Mangeshkar is revered around the world and has inspired generations of singers. She began singing as a girl and her career lasted seven decades. She has recorded about 30,000 songs in 30 languages, but has become a national icon with her work in Bollywood – she has sung in over 1,000 films. He also composes and produces films.
The government declared two days of national mourning in her memory.
