The legendary series Cobra 11 ends after 25 years! Semir sent a message to the audience

Their district is a highway, their pace is murderous – words that perhaps every serial viewer knows. The first episode of the legendary Cobra 11 was broadcast in 1996 and was watched by more than 10 million viewers. The series on the German motorway police later also became an integral part of the Nova TV program.

But now came a message that many did not expect. Last Thursday, after 25 years, German television RTL broadcast the last episode. Throughout its existence, the series has had a number of characters, including various police officers, criminals and their families. However, the most famous character will forever remain High Commissioner Semir Gerkhan, who appeared in the third episode and lasted in the series until its end.

The representative of the series Semira, actor Erdogan Atalay, also sent a touching message to the fans via social networks. “Thank you all for your support during all those incredible 25 years of broadcasting the series. I’ll see you as soon as possible.” said the actor before airing the last episode.

Cobra 11 is best known for its action scenes. In 25 years of filming, the filmmakers destroyed more than 7,000 cars and even built several kilometers of their own highway.

The biggest and most complicated explosion occurred in the pilot part of the 12th series called The City in Danger, where the filmmakers blew up part of the gas pipeline. Then 14 cars flew into the air at once, while pyrotechnicians consumed over 25 kilograms of explosives.

The series was supposed to end a few years ago, but Erdogan Atalay decided to become a producer and continue the series. In the end, the 26th series was shot, which has 378 parts.

You can watch Cobra 11 every weekday at Nova Action or now at Voyo.
