The legendary coach takes on Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain is out. In the semi-final second leg against Manchester City, the French series champions presented themselves not very glamorous. Neymar has to listen to criticism.

“I was hoping he could do something and be more determined. He tried too many useless dribbles. He wasn’t a leader,” was the verdict of legendary Italian coach Fabio Capello.

A leader made sure that the team achieved their goals and got a good result. Neymar did not do that, according to the Champions League winner (1994 with AC Milan). “He talked too much.”

Neymar’s Brazilian compatriot Fernandinho, on the other hand, was, according to Capello, “the key player in the semi-final second leg. He defended everything. That was a brilliant move by Guardiola.”
