The legendary band “Eolika” is preparing for its 40th anniversary concert tour

A new song “We are together again” has been made and recorded in honor of the anniversary concert tour and the legendary quartet.

“In recent years, I have rarely written new songs, but this time in honor of the fact that we are going on tour and we are all together, I wrote a song,” says composer and group founder B. Reznik, who also plans to take part in all the anniversary concert tours. “These are my golden years, my most beautiful years, and in fact,” Aeolian “has been half my life, not even numerically.

Singer Olga Rajecka emphasizes: “We are grateful to all the fans who have been with us for these 40 years; we are grateful that all four of us are still together and performing and that we have managed to delight you with our songs. And, of course, Boris Reznik who will also take part in our anniversary concerts! “

The band “Eolika”, a brass ensemble led by saxophonist Zints Žvarts and an instrumental group led by Jānis Miltiņš will take part in the anniversary concerts. In addition, as the anniversaries reveal, not only the most popular songs of the group will be played, but also many lesser-known compositions from the concert programs created during the group’s existence. “There will also be many bigger and smaller surprises! Let’s celebrate together with the listeners of all four generations, for whom we have given concerts for these forty years,” O. Rajecka invites.

The popular quartet, which still plays Olga Rajecka, Ilona Stepanova, Viktors Zemgals and Dainis Dobelnieks, was founded in the summer of 1980, and for the next five years “Eolika” was one of the most popular groups in Latvia. During this time, the band’s biggest hits were made: “Strawberry Field”, “World, World”, “Agenskalns Market Morning”, etc., as well as the second big record was released, which recorded the band’s most popular songs at that time. During its existence, the quartet “Eolika” has given more than 4,000 concerts, and it can be safely called one of the symbols of Latvian pop music.

The group’s anniversary concerts will take place:

• August 7 at 19.00 at the Saulkrasti stage;
• August 13 at 19.00 on the stage of Cēsis Castle Park;
• August 15 at 18.00 Saldus Kalnsēta park stage;
• August 20 at 19.00 on the stage of Sigulda castle ruins;
• August 25 at 19.00 in Dzintari Concert Hall;
• August 28 at 19.00 on Aluksne stage;
• September 4 at 19.00 Ikšķile open-air stage;
• September 11 at 7 pm on the Roja open-air stage;
• October 2 at 18.00 in the concert hall “Lielais Dzintars”;
• October 16 at 18.00 in Jelgava Culture House;
• October 31 at 19.00 Latgale Embassy GORS;
• November 13 at 19.00 in Ventspils Theater House “Jūras vārti”.
