The world of martial arts has lost one of its most outstanding personalities. Jiu-jitsu legend Leandro Lo died Sunday in a Brazilian club as a result of a gunshot wound.

According to the MMA Fighting portal, the 33-year-old champion got into a conflict with a police officer who is currently off duty and on the run.
According to witnesses, Lo was at a concert with friends when an unknown man came to his table, took a bottle of alcohol from them and started threatening them.
Lo pacified the man, which the former police officer found difficult. When they were separated, he drew his gun and shot the champion in the head.
Although medics took the eight-time world champion to the hospital, Leandro Lo Pereira do Nascimento succumbed to his injuries.
