The legend lives on: Real Madrid overthrow Bayern in 3 minutes and claim another Champions League final

Real Madrid won their place in the Champions League final after the suspense against Bayern Munich (2-1, aggregate score: 4-3) on Wednesday evening. In the final, the Madrilenians will meet Borussia Dortmund, defeater of Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid created a huge chance in the first quarter of an hour. After an incursion into the rectangle, Vinicius Junior sent a tight shot which passed under Manuel Neuer but hit the upright (13th). The Madrilenians once again came close to opening the scoring with a shot from Rodrygo but too crossed (56th).

Up at the half-hour mark, Alphonso Davies proved to be, for a time, the savior of the Bavarians with an unstoppable shot between three players for Andriy Lunin (68th, 0-1). The Canadian almost threw a chill with an own goal just after but it was canceled for a prior foul on Joshua Kimmich (73rd).

In the final minutes, Neuer made a mistake by catching a shot from Vinicius Junior very poorly. Joselu took the opportunity to jump on the ball and equalize (88th, 1-1). In a few seconds, Real Madrid turned the match around with a double from the Spanish striker, synonymous with qualification (90th + 2, 2-1).

In order to win the 15th Champions League in its history, Real Madrid will have to beat Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley on June 1. Tuesday evening, the Germans achieved the feat of eliminating Paris Saint-Germain, the favorite of this double confrontation (1-0, 0-1, cumulative score: 2-0).

Borussia dreams of lifting the Big Ears Cup once again after a single coronation in 1997 and a final in 2013, lost to Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid – Bayern Munich: Live FIN It’s over!

The adage “Real never dies” will still be used everywhere after this new performance from the Merengues. Real Madrid qualifies for another Champions League final and will challenge Dortmund at Wembley

90+1’GOOOOOOAL

Real Madrid continues the tradition and crucifies Bayern in added time. Joselu turns into a hero a second time in this match. 7 minutes left to play

87’GOOOOOAL

Joselu equalizes for Real! Vinicius fires a powerful, bouncing shot that Neuer can’t catch. Joselu follows and puts the ball in the back of the net

82’VINICIUS

It doesn’t work for Real. Rüdiger sends a very nice cross towards Vinicius who takes the ball in a half-volley, it goes just wide

80’All in all

Ancelotti reacts and brings up Brahim Diaz and Joselu in place of Rodrygo and Valverde.

71’Goal canceled for Real

Real thought they had equalized, but Nacho made a mistake. Mr. Marciniak logically cancels the goal

67’GOOOOAL

What a goal from Davies. The Canadian inherits a cross from Kane, fixes Rüdiger, before curling a magnificent shot into the small net of Lunin, who can do absolutely nothing

65’Bayern’s response

Musiala received a ball at the edge of the area, fixed Carvajal and fired a powerful shot at the near post. Lunin takes out the flip flop you need

60’VINICIUS!

The Brazilian gave us a huge match. On his left line, Vinicius makes the difference on his own, reviews the defense and unleashes a powerful strike. But that was without counting on the other man in form in this match, Manuel Neuer, who again produced an extraordinary save

59’Rodrygo’s beautiful free kick

After a foul on Bellingham, Rodrygo hits a very nice free kick, but Neuer makes the necessary save

55’RODRYGO!

The infernal Brazilian duo makes magic speak. Vinicius crosses low to the ground, Rodrygo manages to pass just past his defender, but his deflection is a little too crossed

51’Vinicius untenable

Clearly, Vinicius is showing Kimmich in all colors this evening. Fortunately for the German, de Ligt is still there to keep an eye on things

48’Davies’ strike

Davies plays his one-on-one with Carvajal, shows all his explosiveness, but his shot goes over Lunin’s goal

47’Vinicius in his works

The Brazilian plays Kimmich on the left side, tries to find Valverde, but de Ligt intervenes just in time

46’Let’s go back

Mr. Marciniak kicks off this second period which should keep all its promises

45′ Half-time

It’s the break at the Santiago Bernabeu, the 22 players return to the locker room after delivering a great first half

45’Lunin attentive

Lainer takes advantage of a poor alignment of the Real defense to slip a good through ball towards Kane. Lunin is attentive and intervenes just before the attacker

39’New save from Neuer

Vinicius sends a cross shot that no one deflects. Neuer has a firm hand and puts the ball for a corner

35’Bayern gets their foot on the ball

After a big phase of possession by Real, Bayern tries to get a foot on the ball, without being dangerous

28’Gnabry replaced

The German is injured and gives way to Davies who comes to position himself on the left flank

28’KANE’S STRIKE

Kimmich crosses, but the ball is blocked by Nacho. Kane doesn’t ask any questions and delivers a strike. It passes very close to the Lunin post

20’Neuer’s save has its effect

13’HO LA DOUBLE OCCASION

What opportunities for Vinicius. The Brazilian found Neuer’s post after a combination between Rodrygo and Carvajal on the right side. Rodrygo then has the opportunity to finish, but comes up against the German goalkeeper, who gives us a classy reflex

6’The center of Carvajal

The Spanish full-back sends a magnificent cross low to the ground between the defenders and Neuer. Rodrygo passes a few centimeters from the ball.

Bayern respond directly, also via a cross, but Kane cannot take it back

5’Kroos’ tackle

The midfielder makes a magnificent tackle in the heart of the game. Without this, Harry Kane would probably be heading towards goal
