What a perfidious irony: these leftists fear the specter of fascism in the future, and pretend to be distracted when their Great President Joe Biden lectures the clinic on fascist tactics; when the Biden administration brings criminal charges against its political opponents. Trump didn’t, even though he had ample opportunities and grounds against Hillary Clinton. In an act of unappreciated magnanimity, Trump began his first days in office by saying he would put the past behind him for the good of the nation and not press charges against Clinton for illegally moving her server to an unsecured location. Does this look like fascism?
While Biden’s DOJ and FBI are committing one act after another that would make even Edgar Hoover blush. For possibly the first time in the history of this country, the FBI raided the office of a lawyer for a political opponent to seize documents that were classified. It also broke into the offices and homes of Trump supporters, including Michael Cohen and Rudy Giuliani. Arrested former Trump supporters Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesborough just for advising him.
Yes, Cohen pleaded guilty, but to tax evasion and taxi and limousine services. Yes, Powell and Chesborough pleaded guilty in a Georgia court, but the charges against them were so weak that they didn’t even get jail sentences or license suspensions. These were accusations that were intended to discredit political opponents. And it looks like it was taken out of the old KGB handbook.
Additionally, senior Democratic officials, such as New York Attorney General Leticia James, say their goal is to prevent Trump from being elected. James doesn’t know exactly what crime he’ll be prosecuting the former president for, but he made it clear he’s going to find one. It sounds like the old line attributed to Joseph Stalin: “Find the man, and then I’ll tell you the crime.”
Isn’t there an element of fascism in the Biden administration’s collusion with private organizations, from Stanford University professors to social media giants, to stifle the speech of their conservative political opponents? They do it by creating algorithms to block conservative tweets or Facebook posts, and by colluding with 51 former intelligence agents to lie about Hunter Biden’s laptop and declare it Russian disinformation.
What about when the Biden Department of Justice declares concerned parents who ask disturbing questions at local school board meetings as possible terrorists? Or when the Biden FBI raided the home of a pro-life protester at 6 a.m. and arrested him in front of his children on charges that were thrown out by a grand jury? This is very much like the old German fascist state.
Let’s not forget how Biden cronies are trying to intimidate anyone who even thinks about criticizing them. Does anyone in their right mind think it was just a coincidence that the IRS came knocking on journalist Matt Taibbi’s door after he testified before Congress about Biden’s efforts to crush free speech?
It doesn’t appear to be a coincidence, either, that Biden’s FBI raided the home of New York City Deputy Mayor Eric Adams just as Adams is on his way to the White House to complain about Biden’s chaotic immigration policy bringing his city to bankruptcy.
None of these scandalous actions by the administration have alarmed leftists, who are now sounding the alarm about Trump’s eventual fascist regime.
Well, Trump was in power for four years. Not a single liberal has been wrongfully imprisoned. Not a single left-leaning cable show, social media platform or newspaper was suppressed.
Can the same be said for Biden’s critics?
