The leftist candidate, Alberto Fernandez, won the first presidential elections in Argentina, on Sunday, as 90% of the votes were counted, as he won 47.79 of them, while outgoing Argentine President Mauricio Macri acknowledged his defeat.
The process of counting 90% of the votes showed the left candidate, “Fernandez”, won the presidential elections in the first round, with 47.79% of the votes, ahead of the outgoing liberal president, “Macri”, who received 40.71% of the votes.
In a speech to his supporters, “Macri” referred to “Fernandez” as the president-elect, and said that they talked about the beginning of “an orderly political transition”, adding that he had invited Fernandez for breakfast, Monday.
