The League of education of Eure-et-Loir is looking for volunteers for her project in school remediation

Draft remedial school : what is it ?

“The epidemic of coronavirus has highlighted the inequalities, particularly in the face of school it : households without internet, without a computer, children whose parents do not speak French… We then asked what we could do,” begins Mohamed Zahoui, director of the education League of Eure-et-Loir and teacher.

The objective of the proposed remediation of the school is to propose, during the summer, a guidance to the children now far away from the school.

“But this is not to make support for school,” insists Marc Lesage, general delegate of the League. “To relearn how to be with other children, be mentored and to work in a fun way. Resume the fun on the learning.”

To carry out his project, the League of education launches a call for volunteers.

Who can become a volunteer ?

Everyone, regardless of their geographic location within the department : teachers active and retired, students and “all persons wishing to bring his stone to the edifice”.

What will be my tasks as a volunteer ?

A training of a few days will be first organized in July, on Chartres. The role of the volunteer will be to work on the different skills in school, by the games, the culture, the books… “Bring the children to be re-examined on their skills.”

The volunteer will have a group of 4 to 5 children, two to three times per week. But Marc Lesage reminds us : “It’s just an idea. We will communicate its availability. The goal is to build a support of the child.”
