direct: The general index of the Muscat market rose by the end of trading today, Sunday, the first session of the week, by 0.24 percent, to close at 4762.85 points, gaining 11.36 points from its levels in last Thursday’s session.
The index’s rise was supported by the rise of the leading stocks, and the rise of the sectoral indices combined, led by services by 0.94 percent, with the leading share of Al Batinah Energy gaining today by 10 percent, and the leading stock of Phoenix Energy rising by 5.26 percent.
Limiting the rise in the services sector, Sembcorp Salalah shares advanced on the decliners today, by 1.27 percent.
The industry sector index increased by 0.41 percent, driven by an increase in the leading aluminum products by 3.23 percent, and the leading ceramics rose by 1.17 percent.
The financial sector was the least rising today, by 0.23 percent, with the increase of the International Leading Investments by 3.57 percent, and the United Finance rose by 3.33 percent.
Today’s trading volume decreased to 9.71 million shares, compared to 16.91 million shares in the previous session.
The value of trading declined to 881.97 thousand riyals, compared to about 4.64 million riyals last Thursday’s session.
Phoenix Energy issues active shares in volume and value today, with a circulation of 4.43 million shares, at a value of 258.48 thousand riyals.
