/ world today news/ General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CCP and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Chong held talks in Hanoi today.
The Chinese leader expressed confidence that under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee, Vietnam will successfully implement its development project and lay a solid foundation to realize its goals by the centenary of the founding of the party and the state.
“China always views its relations with Vietnam in a strategic and long-term perspective and places them as a priority in diplomacy with its neighbors. I am ready to reposition with Comrade Nguyen Phu Chong the relationship between the two countries and build a Sino-Vietnamese community of shared destiny of strategic importance,” Xi Jinping said.
“China-Vietnam relations will surely enter a new phase based on political mutual trust, security and economic cooperation, sound public will, coordination in various aspects, and successful control and resolution of differences.” The socialist affairs of the two countries will develop successfully to contribute to the stability, development and prosperity of the region and the whole world,” the Chinese leader stressed.
