Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov spoke of a terrible incident he witnessed. In his personal Facebook profile, he points out that everything happened very quickly. Here is what he wrote:
Yesterday I witnessed a catastrophe that miraculously ended without casualties. However, there was a victim in one of the cars who fainted.
We immediately called 112 and the following happened – the ambulance came literally after 2 minutes, after another 1 minute a fire truck came, and after another 1 minute a second fire truck to help get the man out of the car as he was pressed into the crushed car (although it was not necessary later, the man went out alone).
In negative time, dozens of people gathered to help – some to regulate traffic, others to calm the victims. Two medical students appeared, including foreigners, who regained consciousness of the unconscious man. All this empathy, organization and self-organization happened in just a few minutes.
There is hope for Bulgaria! It has been and always will be!
