Russian rock musician, DDT soloist Yuri Shevchuk, who spoke out against the war in Ukraine, said that Russians are not slaves, but simply fell under the occupation of the authorities. The star spoke about this in an interview on the YouTube channel Tell Gordeeva.
The musician noted that there are also heroes in the Russian Federation.
“I want to say that the Russians are not slaves, we are just under occupation. They shoot us with Grads, propaganda mines. They cut with the most cruel laws, they kill our memory, our mind, our spirit every day. But we hold on, and there are heroes among us, too, who will never be called slaves. And I really wanted to say this. We are not slaves,” Shevchuk said.
