Héctor Castellón, lawyer of the former director of the Indigenous Fund and the late Marco Aramayo, repudiated that the millionaire embezzlement to the Fondioc has not yet been resolved for the “political manipulation” of three government efforts that his client denounced and that, in his opinion, did nothing and did not find those responsible in eight years of investigation.
“We are eight years away (from the start of the process). One year after the death of Marco Aramayo and we have made absolutely no progress. Andit’s a mockery It has cost the life of the only one who has been able to face such a strong political power that existed at that time. It causes anger and impotence that one year after the death of the main person who denounces political groping by this government, the previous one and the transition government, so that nothing happens,” he said on the Influential program, on EL DEBER radio.
Castellón said that the power that Aramayo faced in 2015 and later went not only to the government party but to the social movements, whose leaders managed the Indigenous Fund such as Juanita Aniceta, Ever Choquehuanca and others, to those who until today were not summoned to declare.
“We as lawyers and the family are disgusted by how justice has been handled, in the matter of the Fondioc there are 200 million dollars, of which it is not known what has happened“, lament.
Aramayo is the only denouncer of the embezzlement of the Indigenous Fund. The investigations began in 2015 and to date those responsible have not been found. April 19 marks one year since the death of the man who was subjected to acts of torture in seven years of investigation.
Regarding the house arrest for the former director Evira Parra, who was detained for eight years, he said that it is a joy, but he also questioned that, when Aramayo died, no authority, including the complainant Larisa Fuentes, has ruled on his innocence as the sole complainant.
He warned that, although the embezzlement case is closed for the authorities, the investigations into the death of his client will continue as they will reach all internal and international instances to find the causes of his death.
“We know that the Indigenous Fund is a hot potatonobody wants to touch it, nobody wants to see it, but we are not going to remain with our arms crossed regarding the death of Marco Aramayo,” he emphasized.
