While we’re still waiting for the 16th installment in the Final Fantasy series, today we got the next best thing: Stranger of Paradise.

A new twist on the first Final Fantasy, created not by Square Enix, but the beloved Team Ninja, Stranger of Paradise is a game that many didn’t quite know what to think. And the launch trailer, while full of brutal finishers, doesn’t help. Fortunately, our review is already ready.
