The Health Directorate in Minya announced the start of the presidential initiative to take care of the health of the mother and the fetus, within the works of the presidential initiative 100 million health, launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to preserve women’s health, and work to provide all medical and treatment services for free.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Nadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Minya, explained that the initiative comes within a set of presidential initiatives 100 million health care for the health of the mother and the fetus, which aims to examine pregnant women during the stages of pregnancy until birth, with the aim of early detection of many diseases, the most important of which is the hepatitis B virus. And syphilis and human immunodeficiency virus, in addition to checking blood pressure and making physical measurements of weight and height and measuring blood sugar, in order to prevent the transmission of diseases from mother to fetus.
Dr. Ahmed Khalil, the Coordinator of Presidential Initiatives in Minya Governorate, added that the initiative will take place in 260 health units and medical centers in all health departments at the governorate level through trained medical teams while taking all necessary preventive and precautionary measures and following infection control methods.
