Another breakthrough from PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) aka KAI. After releasing the latest generation of economy trains, they teased that they would soon launch their most luxurious class, namely the Compartment Suite Class.
In a post on its social media account, KAI said that this newest train would provide a new experience for train users.

“Look forward to the newest experience of riding a train, which combines the feel of luxury with sophisticated technology and privacy in a compartment,” wrote KAI in their Instagram upload on Thursday (28/9/23).
Yep! KAI will soon launch a new train called the Suite Class Compartment Train. The facilities feel familiar like those of the Sleeper Luxury Train. However, as the name suggests, the newest train prepared by KAI is plotted in special booths for each seat, aka compartment.
In its official release, KAI stated that this Suite Class Compartment Train consists of 16 compartments or booths which will provide more privacy to customers throughout the journey.
“Each compartment in this suite class is equipped with sophisticated digitally operated seats. You can customize the seats and compartment facilities according to your needs, by adjusting the lighting, air conditioning level and seating position,” wrote KAI.
“The compartment facilities are also equipped with a call button that passengers can use if they need help from the flight attendants and flight attendants on duty,” they continued.
KAI also claims that this luxury class train will also be equipped with facilities such as pillows, blankets, headsets and warm towels. Apart from that, complete travel offerings ranging from appetizers, main courses, desserts, to drinks are also included in the travel package.

As of Saturday (30/9/23), KAI had just taken this luxury train trip for a test ride with the Access by KAI brand ambassador and several artists, socialites and influencers.
This trial trip was carried out in the Joy Ride program, carried out from Gambir Station to Cirebon PP Station.
“With this joy ride, KAI wants participants to experience the services and facilities that have been prepared so that they hope to get feedback, suggestions and input in order to carry out evaluations and follow-up improvements so that at the next inauguration it will be even better,” said VP Public Relations KAI Joni Martinus.
However, it has not been announced when this luxury train will start operating, on which route, and how much the ticket price will be.
