BEIJING, Sept. 24, 2024 (Xinhua) — China Stock Index Corporation Limited announced the official launch of the new CSI 500 stock index last Monday.
The company explained that the index tracks 500 securities with large market values to reflect the overall performance of shares of listed companies representing various sectors in China.
The index focuses on leading companies in emerging industries such as information technology and biomedicine, which will contribute to the direction of investments to support modern, qualitative productive forces.
