Microsoft has revealed the launch games for Xbox Series X – and we are not particularly impressed.
The launch games for Xbox Series X / S consist of a total of 30 games, all of which are optimized for Xbox Series X and will be launched at the same time as Xbox Series X and Xbox Series X on November 10.
In addition to the above games made specifically for the Xbox Series X There are also thousands of backwards compatible games available at launch – they just will not be optimized for the new Xbox.

Not particularly impressive
We are not overly impressed by the list of launch games for the Xbox Series X. First, only a handful of new major games will be available for console at launch (“Assassin’s Creed Valhalla”, “Watch Dogs Legion”, “Dirt 5 “And” Yakuza: Like a Dragon “), and none of these are exclusive to the Xbox – but it’s worth mentioning that” Yakuza: Like a Dragon “will be coming to the Xbox before PS5.
The games on the Xbox-exclusive list, such as “Gears 5”, “Forza Horizon 4” and “Ori and the Will of the Wisps” are all optimized versions of Xbox One titles. In fact, all of the games on this list are either already available (or will be available) on Xbox One – and many are coming PS5 also.
The whole thing is somewhat disappointing, and could have been greatly improved upon «Halo Infinite» was included – something it was, before it was postponed to 2021. What potentially saves it all, though, is that Xbox Series X players will have access to thousands of backwards compatible games at launch, so you’ll have dozens of older games to play – but, to make the most of it, you’ll need an Xbox Game Pass.
Hopefully, Microsoft will fill the game range on the Xbox Series X in the near future. They almost have to, since this is certainly not a head start.
