Eihe is currently the artistic director of the theater “Joriks” of the Culture Center of Rēzekne National Societies, since 2004 he has been producing theater performances in various Latvian theaters. In 2017-2018, he was the director of the Devons Cultural Center.
Eihe graduated from the Latvian Academy of Culture with a bachelor’s degree in art as a theater director.
Applicants for the position of a member of the Board of the Latvian Puppet Theater had an impeccable reputation, academic higher education or second level professional higher education in social sciences or humanities (except first level professional higher education), at least 2 years of work experience in a state or municipal capital company, association or the foundation acquired during the last 10 years, excellent knowledge of the state language and good knowledge of at least 2 foreign languages, knowledge and understanding of the cultural sector (especially the theater sector), knowledge and understanding of the operation and management of the state capital company, including financial management, presentation and substantiate their views. Competences of team leadership, strategic vision, results orientation, decision-making and responsibility were also considered important in this competition.
The submitted applications for the position of a member of the Board of the Latvian Puppet Theater were evaluated by a specially nominated nomination commission; Dace Vilsone, State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Baiba Zakevica, Deputy State Secretary for Development and Finance, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Jānis Znotiņš, Member of the Board of ASSITEJ Latvian National Center, Dagnija Zepa, Consultant of the Department, Zane Kreicberga, Head of the Department of Performing Arts of the Latvian Academy of Culture, Chairwoman of the Latvian Theater Council.
The salary of a member of the Board of the Latvian Puppet Theater before taxes is set at 3,637 euros. *
The decision to temporarily establish the position of the second member of the Board of the Latvian Puppet Theater was made by the Ministry of Culture on the basis of an application from Vilnius Becker, a member of the Board of the Theater. During the transition period, when two members of the Board work under the direction of the Latvian Puppet Theater, it will be possible to ensure the consistency and continuity of the work started.
