The Latvian indoor football championship has been suspended until the end of the emergency

The LFF board decided to end the indoor football championship late at night, in the remote voting all board members agreed – the competition must be stopped.

The LFF will decide on the resumption of the championship only after the end of the emergency situation no earlier than mid-January. Previously, due to covid-19 illness, several indoor football championship games were postponed, the teams became self-isolated.

The Latvian national team consists of representatives of Latvian clubs, these footballers are allowed to start preparing for the UEFA European Championship qualifiers tomorrow. All team players have negative covid-19 tests.
