During the General Song and Dance Festival, the “Latvian Cinema Festival” will take place in the “Forum Cinemas” cinema until July 10, during which visitors will have the opportunity to watch Latvian films, informed the representative of the cinema, Ineta Šķēle.
A program of more than 15 different Latvian feature films can be seen on the screens of “Forum Cinemas”. In the repertoire of the cinema, an average of four “Latvian Cinema Festival” films are shown every day, which have won recognition both locally and elsewhere in the world. The cinema will show the 2019 film “Storm of Souls”, the 2022 films “January”, “My marriage project”, “Neona pavasaris” and “Sisters”.
The program consists of adaptations of Latvian literary works – the 2018 film “Bille”, the 2023 film “Mother’s Milk”, the 2018 romantic comedy “Homo Novus”, the 2018 biographical drama “Father’s Night”, the 2019 youth drama ” Jelgava’94”, 2022 movie “Neon Spring”.
Also, those interested will be able to watch the 2020 film “City by the River”, the 2022 film “Sufflieris”, the 2022 detective comedy “Criminal Excellence Fund”, the 2022 film “Next to”, the 2023 short film series “Kolectivs”, 2022 comedies of the year “Mamma still smiles” and “The sun shines 24 hours”.
The cinema “Forum Cinemas” is one of the largest in the Baltic region. It has 14 cinema halls with three “Premium” class auditoriums, of which “Insense” has the largest cinema screen in the Baltics, while in two “Lux” halls you can enjoy the cinema experience of the highest comfort.
