The Latvian men’s basketball team will play two test matches against Lithuania in June, Kaspars Cipruss, Secretary General of the Latvian Basketball Union (LBS), told the Latvian Television program “Sporta Studija”.

First, on June 22, the Latvian national team will host the Lithuanian national team at Arena Riga, and then on June 26, they will meet again in the Lithuanian city of Siauliai, with Latvian basketball players as guests. After the test matches, two more World Cup qualifying tournament games are planned for Latvia, where they will have to meet with Serbia and Slovakia. Latvian basketball players have already secured entry into the second round of the qualification.

Cyprus also mentioned that the best basketball players, including Kristaps Porziņģis and Dāvis Bertāns, who play in the National Basketball Association (NBA), will be gathered for all the games expected in the summer.
