Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Russia’s accusations of planning Ukraine’s use of “dirty bombs” are heating up. More recently, experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will soon arrive in Ukraine to refute Moscow’s claims.
In a tweet on Monday, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said he spoke by phone with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. The IAEA has also agreed to send a team to find out more about this allegation.
On Tuesday (25.10.2022) Russia itself will raise the issue of Ukraine’s dirty bomb at the UN Security Council. In addition to the dirty bomb case, the Russian-Ukrainian war is also heating up.

– Melitopol car bomb injures five people
On Tuesday morning, a car bomb exploded near a local television station in the Russian-occupied town of Melitopol. According to local authorities, this bomb injured five people. Vladimir Rogov, a Russian-appointed regional council member, told Russian state media RIA Novosti that the incident was a terrorist attack.

The Ukrainian army says Russian troops in occupied Kherson are preparing “defense positions” along the eastern bank of the Dnipro River and leaving a small path for “potential retreat” from the western bank.
– Europe reiterates its support for Ukraine
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for a “new Marshall Plan” to rebuild Ukraine, referring to a US-sponsored development program aimed at rehabilitating the European economy after World War II to preserve democracy on the continent. This he conveyed in a conference in Berlin.
Speaking at the same event, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said she was working on a support package for Ukraine worth up to € 1.5 billion each war month, which would amount to around € 18 billion. euro in 2023.
– More than a third of the Ukrainian energy sector was destroyed
President Volodymyr Zelensky at a conference in Berlin on Tuesday said Russian missiles and Iranian-made drones have destroyed more than a third of Ukraine’s energy sector.

– The German president visits Ukraine
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived in Ukraine on Tuesday for a surprise visit. He marked his first trip to the country since the start of the Russian offensive in February.
“My message to the Ukrainian people is: you can count on Germany! We will continue to support Ukraine: militarily, politically, financially and humanitarian,” he said.
