Paolo Maldini has spoken again, after the abrupt interruption of his relationship with Milan at the end of last season. The technical differences between Maldini and the club were too great and Milan decided to fire their manager of the technical area (and great flag) without however managing to find a replacement. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was also offered a role, but the Swede declined not wanting a role on the pitch. Hosted by Giacomo Poretti, in his podcast, Maldini revealed a transfer operation that he attempted to set up: Lionel Messi to Milan. He made a very strong suggestion to bring someone who had won 8 Ballon d’Ors to the Rossoneri, but then Maldini understood that, economically speaking, it was not a feasible operation. However, he did not explain the historical moment in which he became interested in the Argentine. If it was at the end of last season, when his contract with PSG ended, or even in 2021, when Barcelona was unable to renew his contract after the Spanish Football League said no.
