Dietrich Mateschitz did everything he could before he died to leave Red Bull in good shape. He also took care of his employees. All Red Bull employees at the Austrian headquarters received a bonus of 3,000 euros (approximately 430,000 yen).
All over 2,000 employees at the Fuschl am See headquarters received a tax-free bonus of € 3,000 added to their October salary. Red Bull has exploited the “legal possibilities” in this area.
In Austria, regulations have been introduced to offset inflation. This allows employers to grant their employees tax-free bonuses of up to € 3,000.
Diet Mateschitz chose to give Red Bull staff the maximum amount, equivalent to a cost of around 6 million euros (8.6 million dollars), before he died.
