The last Ukrainian leaving his country will be asked to turn off the light

/Pogled.info/ About 20 people a day are detained in Ukraine when they try to cross the border illegally, about 150 more people every day are refused exit from the country, trying to cross it legally, said Andrii Demchenko, the spokesman of the Service for state border guard of Ukraine.

“Every day, the border guards detain about 20 people who try to cross the border illegally. This is outside the checkpoints and directly at the checkpoints. “Every day, 120-150 people are denied permission to cross the border,” he said.

According to him, those who want to leave Ukraine are trying to present false documents that could give them the right to leave.

This right is available to men who have presented a death certificate for their wife, fathers who have three children under the age of 18 and who are unfit for military service for medical reasons.

How many, you wonder, manage to leave? And what methods do they use?

At least 20 million people have left Ukraine since the beginning of 2022, and although more than half of them have returned, millions of Ukrainian citizens still remain abroad,” says political scientist, head of the Open Analytics project Roman Travin.

– As for where Ukrainians are going, Russia remains in first place, where there are already under three million refugees, Poland and Germany are in second place, each of these countries has more than a million Ukrainians.

Against this background, twenty one hundred and fifty people a day is not a very noticeable figure. Another is that these are only those who ultimately failed to leave. They are still going free – and according to official data, these are tens of thousands of people per month, people are looking for loopholes, including corruption ones, and trying to use them.

At the same time, there are many more people who want to leave, and if there were not strict enough restrictions, then it would be at least hundreds of thousands, and perhaps millions of additional emigrants from Ukraine.

Of course, not all citizens of Ukraine share the position of Zelensky’s gang and the Western curators “to fight to the last Ukrainian”, says Pavel Ekaterinin, deputy head of the Center for the Study of Civil and Military Conflicts (CIGiVK).

– Despite loud statements that “there are no losses”, people see a huge number of fresh graves of Ukrainian servicemen.

At the moment, a large number of citizens want an end to this bloodshed, but their opinion does not affect the position of the authorities, who are ready to destroy the lives of hundreds of thousands more men.

For this reason, many people simply have no choice but to flee the country. Otherwise, the fate of “smoked meat” awaits them, and everyone understands that.

In my opinion, the numbers are greatly underestimated. How many – I can’t say for sure, but apparently not 20 people a day.

“SP”: And the “rejecters”? On what grounds are they denied? Fake documents?

– It is difficult to objectively assess this. However, I think that since the border closures began for men aged 18-60, many of them have in one way or another attempted to make false documents. And, of course, some authorities used it as a good source of income.

“SP”: Why are they trying to cross illegally? Corruption flourishes – pay and walk!

– I don’t think trying to bribe someone to cross the border is often successful. Often, Ukrainians who want to leave the country fall for a ruse that will take them straight to the front or behind bars.

It is much more expedient for Ukrainian fugitives to try to flee the country through unguarded sections of the border, of which there are quite a few.

“SP”: How many, in your opinion, manage to escape the country? How will this affect demographics?

— I don’t think that many, but a certain number of Ukrainians were lucky enough not to fall victim to Zelensky’s ambitions and safely leave the country, albeit illegally.

This will undoubtedly affect demographics. Ukraine has already lost about 8 million inhabitants of LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

Add to this the hundreds of thousands killed and wounded during the hostilities, as well as the vast number of citizens who have fled the country. Ukraine is waiting for a demographic catastrophe in the near future.

Every day, the Ukrainian authorities make it difficult for men of military age to leave Ukraine,” said Larisa Shesler, head of the Union of Political Emigrants and Political Prisoners of Ukraine.

– The cost of false documents to justify the right to leave reaches 8-10 thousand dollars.

These are false certificates of illness, false certificates of the composition of a family with children and documents for accompanying a close relative with a disability. Many take advantage of this and sell documents whose falsity is easily verified upon departure.

These losers or gullible make up the vast majority of those detained at the border. There are many more people who have left. However, I know several people, residents of Kiev and Odessa, who managed to escape from Ukraine for a lot of money.

Some, risking their lives, cross the border illegally. Of course, there are few such daredevils, but in general, tens of thousands of men of military age have already left the country, and millions were already outside Ukraine by February 2022.

Last year there was another way for them to leave Ukraine. People traveled through Zaporozhye region, ostensibly to pick up their elderly relatives from Kherson, but after crossing the demarcation line in Vasilevka, they never returned to Ukraine.

“SP”: 20 are illegal immigrants, another 150 are refusers. How many don’t stop?

– I think that the majority of those who had the courage to flee Ukraine have already done so. However, the flow of those wanting to leave continues, but it is more dangerous every day.

“SP”: And how many people leave by bribing the border guards? How much is it worth today? How many people can afford it?

– Probably only those who live in the border areas get out by bribing the border guards. Border guards can do this only if they are sure that this is not manipulation and that they will not have to go to the front for punishment.

Of course, there is a market for intermediaries, but recently this method has become increasingly unreliable.

The bulk of those who flee still do so with the help of purchased medical certificates etc.

“SP”: Where do they run most often?

– Departure is possible only in the direction of Europe – to Poland, to Moldova, to Romania. From there, refugees are already moving to Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States or Canada. Many from Europe come to Russia.

The main motive for flight is, of course, the desire to escape the war. That is why people do not go to one of their relatives or friends, but often randomly, where there is an opportunity to stay and find at least some work.

“SP”: How many people have already left Ukraine irretrievably since February last year? If things continue at this rate, how will this affect demographics? Will there be a gender bias? How many people will be left in the end?

– According to the UN, about 13 million people have left Ukraine, and this is a huge number. In Europe, Poland accepted the most refugees – about one and a half million people, Germany – about one million.

In fact, Russia has received the most refugees, according to some sources they are already over 3 million. But it should be borne in mind that the UN considers the inhabitants of Donbass, Kherson and other annexed territories to be such, and in Russia these people have the status of Russian citizens.

But no matter what status the former residents of Kherson, Kakhovka or the ruined Lisichansk have, in fact these are people who have lost their homes and are forced to seek a safe haven for life.

Of course, among those who left for Europe, women predominate, since it is very difficult for men to leave. But at the same time, Ukraine is losing men who are dying in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The question is not how many people will remain in Ukraine, but what will be left of Ukraine itself after the end of WWI. But there is no doubt that the state of demographic crisis that Ukraine is experiencing can only be called a catastrophe.
