The last time Neanderthals could see the comet that is now passing us by

According to estimates, the comet named C/2022 E3 (ZTF), which promises to be this year’s bright comet, completes its orbit around the Sun once every 50,000 years. This means that it was last seen by people living in the Paleolithic, i.e. Neanderthal people. The celestial body is currently still too faint to be visible without binoculars – moreover, it is visible at dawn – but it will move into the evening sky at the end of January, and hopefully then it will already be an object with the naked eye – draws attention in its entry the Facebook page of the Hortobágy National Park Directorate.
