There are new developments on the front between China and Italy in the automotive sector. Now the official request from the Government has arrived

China is the new breakthrough in the car market, a real power that has been for about ten years as the country that produces the most cars in the world with the aim, now , to conquer Europe as well. The Dragon country is riding a wave electric carsas a result of a significant advantage gained over the competition on these new technologies.

The European Union is trying to avoid a ban in the car industry caused by China’s progress and has therefore significantly increased the data on cars produced in China. This measure, for the moment, does not seem to scare eastern producers who want to continue expanding in our area.

In the meantime, a Chinese car manufacturer was able to transfer part of its business to Italy, thus joining Stellantis, which until now was a monopolist with Fiat, Maserati and Jeep. A manufacturer who must, if he arrives, accept guidelines established by the Government.

Cars, the request of the Meloni Government to the new possible manufacturer

The only car manufacturer in Italy, as it is known, is the Stellantis group, which has several brands within it, but they certainly do not experience an exciting time. Indeed for this reason, the Italian government wants to expand production and welcome a second motor giant which, according to the latest rumours, could be Dongfeng.

As reported by “Bloomberg“, the Italian Government would have asked the new manufacturer the multimedia systems completely made in Italy. A choice, apparently, that is similar to IT security issues.

This would be one of the conditions set by the executive to ensure that a representative from the Dragon country arrives in our area, in the not too distant future. We want to avoid a case similar to the case of TikTok, sanctioned by Europe for failing to comply with GDPR regulations and also for controversial management of data generated by users.

According to what appears, even elements such as brakes, pistons, connecting rods and even electronic systems have to be produced in Italy for a total of80% of the components which is part of a car. Therefore, we want to open up to China to have a second representative in our region but the goal is still to preserve an important presence of Made in Italy.
