The last public telephone is removed from the streets of NYC | Photos | Univision 41 New York WXTV

New York City’s last pay phone in the heart of Manhattan was taken out of service Monday, marking the end of an era during which the devices were once dominant in the nation’s largest city. The city began removing public phones in 2015 and replacing them with public Wi-Fi hotspots.
