The third season of “White Lotus” with a new cast, the last part of “My Brilliant Friend”, a new series in the universe of “Game of Thrones” and finally, eagerly awaited by millions of fans, the first look at the second season of “The Last of Us”. The Max platform (formerly HBO) has just revealed the first fragments of the most anticipated productions of this and next year. And well – a time of really great premieres is ahead of us.
A two-minute trailer for Max’s upcoming productions was released along with the final episode of the second season of the series “Dragon’s Bloodline”. The coincidence of dates was not accidental – the platform announced that another series from the “Game of Thrones” universe will be created. “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight” is to be based on George RR Martin’s short stories “The Knight Errant”, “The Sworn Sword” and “The Mystery Knight”. This is a story set 90 years before the events of “Game of Thrones”, the plot of which will focus on the adventures of the wandering knight Dunk and his squire named Egg.
The platform also revealed the first fragments of the third part of the adventures of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte in “And Just Like That…”, the fourth, final season of “My Brilliant Friend”, as well as the new Max: the prequel to the horror “It” entitled “Welcome to Derry” and “Penguin”, an epic crime saga initiated by Matt Reeves with the global hit “Batman”. The end of this year will belong to the series “Dune: Prophecy”, a six-episode production in the Dune universe, created by the acclaimed author Frank Herbert, the action of which takes place 10,000 years before the times of Paul Atreides.

In 2025, the platform will return to the next installments of two of the biggest series hits of recent years: “The White Lotus” and “The Last of Us”. In the first of them, we will see completely new faces, which Max revealed for the first time in full make-up. And so, the main roles of the third season of “The White Lotus” will be played by: Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook and Sam Nivola. “What happens in Thailand, stays in Thailand,” says one of the series’ heroines in the announcement, thus whetting the appetite of fans of the production.
In turn, “The Last of Us” already sends shivers and a whole range of emotions through the first few seconds of the trailer. “What did you do?” asks Joel (played by Pedro Pascal), a mysterious character played by Catherine O’Hara. “I saved her,” Joel replies, swallowing his tears. And although the creators are reluctant to share secrets from the series’ set, this short scene confirms that, just like in the first season, they decided to stick consistently to the story known from the game. And we won’t hesitate to admit that we are very happy about it.
