In recent days, the acclaimed series The Last of Usbased on the video game franchise, released a teaser of what will be the second season, within the framework of the annual celebration of the Día de The Last of Uswhich takes place every September 26. With the first images of the second season, thousands of fans became excited about the story that Joel and Ellie star in.
September 26 is key in this apocalyptic story, since it is the day on which the virus cordyceps catapulted the world into a new way of living, very different from the reality we know. That date is known as the “Outbreak Day” and, this year, it was decided to share a preview of what Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) will face in the next chapters through Max’s screen.

“Well, do you want to start?” a woman asks Joel with a stopwatch in her hand, as if she were a therapist. Then, he continued: “Let’s try something different. You can’t heal if you don’t have the courage to say it out loud.. Say what you’re afraid to say. Say it out loud, whatever it is, no matter how bad it is, what did you do?” Throughout his words you can see scenes of Joel and Ellie interacting with new characters, but with the same problem as the first season: the infected. At the end of teaserattention returns to Joel, who sheds a tear in front of this lady.
However, another final fragment of the teaserin which she asks him what Ellie did to him and Joel replied: “I saved her”. But a fragment returns to the tender connection between Pedro Pascal’s character and Bella Ramsey’s, while the girl learns to play the guitar, he looks at her as if she were his daughter. Apparently, this instrument will be an important object in the relationship between the protagonists.
The fragment quickly went viral on social networks like X and users expressed themselves regarding these first scenes that promise action, emotion and drama. “I’m not ready”; “Actually I will need between 3 and 5 business days to recover from the trailer”; “I’m ready, but at what price”; “Just put the Emmys in your hands and go” and “Please don’t spoileen in the comments to those who did not play the game,” were some of the comments.
