As promised, Naughty Dog and Iron Galaxy Studios have released a fresh update for the PC version of The Last of Us Part I 3rd person action game. This update includes frame rate optimizations, graphics and texture accuracy, crash fixes, and more. . The developers will release additional improvements to CPU optimization, frame rate, and texture accuracy in future patches.
- Optimized CPU and GPU usage throughout the game.
- Improved texture accuracy and resolution at low and medium game settings.
- Improved graphical fidelity in the game’s “Low” graphics preset, in particular, water surfaces no longer appear black.
- Fixed a crash that could occur during shader building.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when exiting the main menu.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when dying after a fight.
- Fixed an issue that could cause players to wait longer for the game to load on their first load.
- Added the ability for players to both lock and unlock performance stats in the HUD menu (Settings > HUD).
- Added descriptions to the Graphics menu to better explain when certain settings can affect others (Settings > Display).
- Added texture streaming speed setting (Graphics > Texture Settings).
- Fixed an issue where skipping cutscenes during a critical load could cause the game to freeze.
- Fixed an issue where the shader loading warning would not appear when restarting the game.
- Updated video memory bar to more accurately display OS and application usage.
- Fixed an issue where the screen reader would read the values for locked settings, which could mean that the same locked settings were active.
- Fixed an issue where aiming down while using the keyboard and mouse (KBM) could increase camera sensitivity.
- Improved handling of some commands that are assigned the same KBM key combination.
- Fixed Brazilian Portuguese, Croatian, Dutch, Finnish, French, Greek, Hungarian, Latin American Spanish, Spanish, Thai and Traditional Chinese translations for several menu items.

- Fixed a crash that could occur on AMD processors with affinity limited to X3D cores.
- Fixed an issue that could cause textures to render incorrectly on AMD GPUs.
- Fixed an issue where the “It Can’t Be a Gift” achievement would not trigger despite completing all other achievements.
- We fixed an issue in Steam Deck where resetting display settings to default no longer enabled AMD FSR 2 (Settings > Display).
