The Last of Us is a video game, released in 2013, particularly appreciated by critics and which raised the level of narration to a level rarely reached in the world of video games. Sold more than 20 million copies worldwide, the game is finally the subject of a series adaptation by HBO.
This series of 10 episodes will allow the public to follow the adventures of Joe Miller (Pedro Pascal) as he escorts Ellie (Bella Ramsey) to a militant faction, the Fireflies, who hope to synthesize a cure for the fungal infection plaguing Earth through the girl’s natural immunity.
The first images of filming showed us Hunters (a group of very violent scavengers) chasing Joe through the streets of Kansas City. This time, we discover the interior of a hospital specially fitted out by the Fireflies.
This suggests that one of the final scenes could take up a key element of the game’s scenario where Joe in a surge of tenderness (and perhaps selfishness) makes a decision, which we will not detail to avoid a major spoiler, of nature to greatly influence the destiny of mankind.
According to the tweet, filming for the first season is wrapping up. We will therefore have to wait a little longer to discover this Last of Us series.
