Also, the Dacia Mechanical Plant and Chassis will also stop its activity on September 27, 28 and 29. There are, however, a few exceptions: scheduled maintenance, chassis: press activity, engines: running-in activities and logistics: parts reception and shipping.
Regarding the employees of the Dacia factories, the staff that will stay at home, will be paid with 85% and with meal vouchers. So we’re talking about technical unemployment.
This is not the first time that Dacia stops its activity. It happened before in July of this year, due to the crisis in the industry.
Dacia is affected, once again, by the shortage of microchips, the crisis that has affected most major car manufacturers. The plant in Mioveni suspended its activity on Monday, July 26. Due to the lack of components, several sections cannot function. The employees were allegedly called to work in vain.
The builder is forced to adjust his strategy on the fly and there is not much room for return.
The car company also came with an official reaction on this subject. He acknowledged that the temporary cessation of activity is caused by the lack of components. Still, it seems, the market demand is higher than the supply and the suppliers cannot honor their orders.
“The lack of electronic components continues to affect the car industry, including Dacia. We make every effort to limit the impact on production and work at a steady pace with our suppliers. We have crisis cells in the Supply Chain and Procurement departments and we are implementing all the appropriate measures.
