The Portuguese has collaborated from the beginning of his career with various solidarity causes, as well as the model, throughout the last year, has also contributed with large donations to various social initiatives, several of them related to the fight against Covid. And now, The couple has participated directly (and very discreetly) in another good deed, which has been known thanks to the sister of the Spanish, Ivana Rodríguez, in charge of sharing the story on Instagram.
The protagonist of it is Tomás, a 7-year-old boy from Braga, Portugal, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in September 2019, a very aggressive type of childhood cancer that affects the nerve fibers of the spinal cord. The boy’s parents started up in October last year, after Tomás suffered a relapse of the disease, a campaign to raise funds. The intention was to obtain financing for the child’s treatment, and a significant wave of solidarity soon swept through Portugal.
Given the great media coverage obtained, and after many months of dissemination, commitment and childish struggle on the part of the child’s family, the objective has been achieved. This weekend, from the official Instagram page of the campaign, ‘For Tomás’s dreams’, it was reported that The boy was already on his way to the Vall D’Hebron Hospital, in Barcelona, to start the first round of oncology tests and consultations.
