The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters that Qatari mediators were working to resolve the issues with Israel and the Palestinian armed group Hamas to avoid delays.

Hamas has said it hopes to extend the ceasefire. Israel proposed that if Hamas released 10 more hostages each time, Israel would be willing to cease fire for one more day, and release Palestinian prisoners at a ratio of 3 to 1 each time (Israel would release 3 for 1).

“There are some issues with today’s list. Qatar is working with both parties to resolve the issues and avoid delays,” the official who was briefed said.
