The last blow before the new challenge? The Czech machine wants to say goodbye in style

The OKTAGON Underground boxing tournament, which will take place on May 21 at Prague’s O2 Arena, is attracting enormous attention. A number of famous names such as Karlos Vémola, Miloš Petrášek, Samuel Krištofič, Václav Sivák, Lucie Pudilová or the newly announced Matěj Peňáz will present themselves at one gala evening.

For the latter fighter, it will quite possibly be a farewell to the OKTAGON MMA organization. In the previous days, the 25-year-old native of Prague nodded at the offer of the popular show Dana White’s Contender Series, where at the end of August he was fighting right in front of President Whit and other matchmakers for a contract with the UFC. This is a chance for life for Money, which he will certainly not want to waste.

“I will do my best to get there. But it would not end there. I want to show my best performances and represent the Czechia in the best possible light,” Peňáz said shortly after signing the contract with DWCS.

But before that, for the first time in his career, he will present himself in a purely boxing duel, where the fierce Frenchman Alex Lohoré will keep him company. In the past, he even wrestled with Carlos Vémola for the middleweight champion’s belt, but then it was a match in the MMA. Now there is a boxing duel on the program, which literally shocked the fans immediately after the announcement.

“So this is a TOP match, it worked,” said one Instagram user. “I’m expecting an incredible shootout, I can’t wait,” said another. “Matěj is an animal in position, they will be a farewell in a big way,” another user commented.
