The local “Ferrari” took the name “Purosangue”, which in Italian means “pure blood”. It is equipped with a naturally aspirated V12 engine and reverse opening rear doors, similar to a Rolls-Royce.

Ferrari avoids the terms “SUV” or “Crossover” in its print materials for the Purosangue. The Italian supercar manufacturer unofficially calls it FUV, or “Ferrari Utility Vehicle”, as the former head of Fiat, Sergio Marchionne, who died, once called it.

The “Ferrari Purosangue” cannot be defined as a thoroughbred off-road vehicle, its ground clearance is only 18.3 centimeters, but it comes standard with 22-inch front and 23-inch rear wheels. The “Ferrari” SUV is slightly smaller than its competitors, for example, the new “Purosangue” is less than 14 centimeters shorter and five centimeters lower than the “Lamborghini Urus”.

“Ferrari Purosangue” is developed on a completely new chassis, the body structure combines materials in steel, aluminum and carbon fiber. As a result, the weight of the SUV reached two tons – a very good indicator for a five-meter-long car with a V12 engine.

It is the engine that distinguishes the “Purosangue” from other “super-SUVs”. Initially, this Ferrari model will have a naturally aspirated V12 engine, which is a 6.5-liter unit of the Ferrari 812 Superfast. In the Italian countryside it develops 725 horsepower and 716 Nm of torque. Turbo engines will also be offered for this model later.

The dynamic characteristics are also among the best in the segment: the “Ferrari Purosangue” accelerates from a standstill to 100 km / h in 3.3 seconds, just like the “Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT”, while this “Ferrari” SUV reaches 200 km. / hh in 10.6 seconds after startup. Maximum driving speed – 311 km / h.

The “Ferrari Purosangue”, despite its performance, is also relatively practical: its trunk volume is 487 liters, which is more than, for example, the “BMW X2” SUV.

The first Ferrari SUV will go on sale in the spring of 2023. The price of the model has not yet been officially revealed, however, according to initial information, it will be € 390,000. Demand will already exceed supply, as “Ferrari” has hinted that the “Purosangue” will be a limited-series car, as it will be produced in a proportion of no more than 20% of the brand’s total production – so they will no longer be produced. of 2,500 units of this SUV per year.
