The governorate indicated that the new axis connects the main transverse axes (July 26 – League of Arab States – Saft Al-Laban – Faisal – Al-Haram) in addition to streets (Chest Hospital – Thirtieth – Khatem El Morsaleen – Imbaba Airport), and to maximize the benefit from the project, the extension of the axis is being implemented to link with the Tahya Misr axis in the north, so that the total length of the axis is 15 km..

She noted that the project includes the construction of a free axis in two directions with a width of (3-4) traffic lanes in each direction, the development of surface roads to serve the traffic movement of the people with a width of (2-3) traffic lanes in each direction, and the re-planning of the area in a civilized way to serve, confirmed by a circular. To her: “The axis of Lieutenant General Kamal Amer… the first free traffic axis linking the north and south of Giza, and the largest transverse axis in the governorate that connects the main axes with each other. It is the gift of the Egyptian state to the citizens of Giza before the holy month of Ramadan to facilitate traffic movement and break up the densities. Its implementation was only a fantasy. The Egyptian will and determination made it a reality to become one of the most important traffic axes in Greater Cairo“.
