3. Amazon Piraiba Catfish

In the Ebro River, Spain, anglers reported catching a Wels catfish weighing up to 113 kg and measuring almost 2.4 meters in length. Although there are no official records for these catches, stories from local anglers suggest that catfish in the Ebro River can grow to large sizes.

5. Giant Catfish in the United States

In the United States, especially in the Mississippi River, large catfish sightings are also frequently reported. One of the biggest catches on record was a blue catfish weighing 130 kilograms and over 1.5 meters long.
