As a result of a special operation of the National Police, a large-scale network of production and sale of amphetamine was uncovered. During the searches, a record amount of the drug was seized: 120 kg, as well as precursors, from which 700 kg of a ready-to-use drug could be made.
According to preliminary estimates, the monthly turnover of the members of the criminal group was 250 – 300 kg, which is 1,200,000 doses and about 120,000,000 hryvnias of profit. It is reported by Informant, referring to the Head of the National Police of Ukraine Igor Klimenko.
A large-scale special operation of the Department for Combating Drug Crimes and the Department of Cyber Police is being carried out on the territory of Dnepropetrovsk, Kiev, Cherkasy regions and Kiev. Eight members of the criminal group were detained, investigative actions continue.
“300 kg of amphetamine per month. 300 kg is 1,200,000 doses of psychotropic that were sold by members of one criminal group. And from now on they will no longer enter the “market”. First results: a real drug factory was closed in the Dnieper. They seized 120 kilograms of finished amphetamine, which is 480,000 doses! And this is the largest batch of seized amphetamine in the history of Ukraine. In addition, the police found more than a ton of precursors there, from which another 700 kilograms of ready-made psychotropic could be made, ”said the head of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klimenko.
Every month, the attackers manufactured and sold through their online wholesale store from 250 to 300 kg of amphetamine. And we supplied them with at least 50 sales groups throughout Ukraine. The amount of their monthly illegal turnover reached UAH 120,000,000. According to the head of the department, the drug business was organized by a man who is accused of banditry.
