The Language Barrier and Naoki Yoshida’s Desire for Unified Console Platforms

Understanding exactly what Naoki wanted to express is difficult due to the language barrier. However, if viewers who know Japanese are to be believed, the developer is also expressed wanting everyone to buy the same consoles.

Interestingly, Naoki Yoshida’s latest major game, Final Fantasy 16, exclusive to PlayStation 5, is set to arrive on PC. There is no talk of an Xbox version yet, but Final Fantasy XIV multiplayer will visit Microsoft consoles in the spring of 2024.
