The cabinet meeting agreed to hand over land to the fisheries department to build a building complex to rehabilitate fish workers in Thiruvananthapuram district. Of the 17.43 acres of land held by the Dairy Development Department in Muttatha Village of Thiruvananthapuram District, 8 acres of land will be transferred to the Fisheries Department while maintaining the land ownership in the Revenue Department under the terms of the land transfer between the Departments of Territorial Services.
The extension of the Kochi Metro Rail project from Petta to Tripunithura will receive renewed administrative approval. In addition to the current administrative fine amount of Rs.123 crore, additional Rs.8,10,28,411 crore required for land acquisition will receive a revised administrative fine of Rs.131 crore.
The Cabinet meeting also agreed to hand over ownership of 1.4318 hectares of income land in Bhimanadi village in Vellarikund taluk of Kasaragod district to forest department in lieu of forest land which will be lost due to national highway development of the Vadakancherry-Thrissur section ( forest land acquired for the construction of the Kothiran tunnel).
