The Land of the White Elephants in the Final

KALLANG – Thailand has a great chance of advancing to the final AFF Cup 2020 . The reason is, the Land of the White Elephant won by a landslide against Vietnam in the first leg of the semifinals.

Thailand still seems too tough for Vietnam when it clashed at the National Stadium, Singapore, Thursday (12/23/2021) night WIB. They can pick a 2-0 win, where all the goals were created in the first half.

With this result, Thailand has the upper hand. Because, they will still qualify for the top party even though they lost 0-1 to Vietnam in the 2nd leg at the same place, Sunday (12/26/2021).

At the beginning of the first half, both teams tried to display a fast tempo of the game. Action attacks each other occurs. However, Thailand was able to show a slightly better dominance than Vietnam.

In the 15th minute, Thailand was able to lead 1-0 after successfully counter-attacked well. Chanathip Songkrasin kept Vietnam’s back line from moving so he managed to score the first goal.

Thailand continues to appear pressing. In the 23rd minute, Chanathip again scored the second goal after getting a pass from Sarach Yooyen. The temporary score became 2-0 for Thailand’s advantage.

Vietnam continues to try to develop its game after falling behind. However, Thaliand was able to show a solid defense so that it was difficult for Vietnam to minimize the gap.

However, until the first half ended, Thailand and Vietnam were unable to score additional goals. Thailand was able to win over Vietnam with a score of 2-0 in the first half.
