The main character, Widow Fern, was played by Frances McDormand. Although her family offers her accommodation, Fern prefers the freedom and company of similar nomads.

In the category of the best actor in the lead role this year, 83-year-old Anthony Hopkins succeeded thanks to his performance in the film The Father. He tells the story of an old man (Anthony Hopkins) who does not want to admit to a serious illness and refuses to help his daughter. But because of that, he loses contact with the real world.
