The new Lamborghini Revuelto, the first V12-powered plug-in hybrid HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) supercar made its US premiere on April 4, 2023 in New York City at a private party. At Lamborghini Lounge NYC, in the heart of Chelsea’s arts district, the highly anticipated Revuelto was unveiled to enthusiastic guests in an exclusive celebration. Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, was joined by loyal customers, personalities as well as Rouven Mohr, technical director, as well as Federico Foschini, director of marketing and sales.
“As the company’s primary sales market, it was important for Lamborghini to bring the Revuelto to the United States for our best customers to see for themselves just one week after the world debut. As the fastest, most technologically advanced and most customizable Lamborghini in history, customer demand has been extremely strong. The anticipation of the first deliveries to customers by the end of this year is high. »Winkelmann said.
This new plug-in hybrid achieves a new paradigm in terms of performance, sportiness and driving pleasure thanks to its unprecedented new architecture; innovative design; aerodynamics at maximum efficiency; and a new carbon frame concept. Power of 1,015hp comes from the combined power of an all-new combustion engine and three electric motors, plus a dual-clutch gearbox that debuts in a 12-cylinder Lamborghini for the first time. With optimized weight distribution, the Revulto is agile and efficient on the road and on the track.
Lamborghini celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2023, so it’s fitting to start the year with the launch of the next phase of the V12 engine. Always an iconic symbol for Lamborghini, the V12 is an important part of Lamborghini’s history and where the future began in 1963 with the debut of the 350 GT. The Lamborghini Revuelto is also the ultimate design evolution of the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand, drawing inspiration from all Lamborghini V12 models since the Countach prototype in 1971.
The arrival of the Revuelto not only marks the first step in the hybridization of the entire model range but also a historic start to a year in which Lamborghini recently announced record results for 2022 in terms of sales, business and profitability. The US market continues to be the brand’s largest single market globally with a total of 2,721 vehicles delivered in 2022, a 10% increase from 2021.
