The lack of this vitamin can trigger multiple sclerosis: a neurologist identified a dangerous deficiency

It is better not to risk it

A lack of vitamin D is not beneficial to the body and weakens the immune system. In addition, this condition can initiate multiple sclerosis. This was reported by a neurologist at the Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnology of FMBA of Russia. Olga Boyko.

In an interview on the radio “Moscow Speaks,” the doctor listed the reasons why a person’s brain is affected by multiple sclerosis. It turned out that factors include smoking, obesity, a sedentary lifestyle, and a fast food diet.

“According to research, vitamin D deficiency is one of the factors in the development of multiple sclerosis. There is also smoking, and we are talking about any method; vaping is even worse than nicotine. Obesity in childhood and adolescence is also a risk factor,” explained the neurologist.

Instead of wasting time on tools, it is better to go for a walk. It is important to live a healthy lifestyle and eat right.

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease. Its symptoms cover various organs and systems, from vision problems to urinary incontinence. In addition, the symptoms of the disease may disappear suddenly, and a reversal may occur in the patient’s well-being.

Reference: According to statistics, there are 3 million people in the world with multiple sclerosis. On average, a person can live 37 years with the diagnosis.
