The lack of chips could play a bad joke on Apple for the iPhone 13

The company has warned its subcontractors that the devices produced will be fewer

Technology group Apple could reduce production of the iPhone 13 series by about 10 million devices due to a global shortage of chips. This was announced today by Bloomberg, citing informed sources.

Shares of Apple, which predicted to produce 90 million smartphones from the new models by the end of the year, fell 1 percent to $ 140.08 in after-hours trading, Reuters reported.

The company has warned its subcontractors that the devices produced will be fewer, as chip suppliers for the technology giant are finding it difficult to provide the necessary components, according to Bloomberg.

The global shortage of chips, including components and raw materials, has put enormous pressure on a number of sectors, from the automotive industry to electronics, with many automakers even being forced to suspend production.
