The 1-1-2 Castilla y León Emergency Center has received more than 70 calls about incidents related to the storms of the last hours in the community. The first of them was received at 7:37 p.m. due to a failure at the La Pola de Gordón level crossing.
The distribution of the notices among the provinces places Valladolid and Ávila in first place, with ten and nine notices, respectively. The 1-1-2 moved another four notices in Burgos and another two in each of the provinces of Palencia and Salamanca. The three remaining notices to complete thirty have been in León, Segovia and Soria. Many of the calls corresponded to the same notices.
The last warning was at 7.26 am on Wednesday due to a flood of water from the Lobos River, in Hontoria del Pinar (Burgos), which affected San Juan Street in the town. It should also be noted a fire on the roof of the Otones de Benjumea church, in the municipality of Torreiglesias (Segovia), at 4:41 am, due to a lightning strike. In no case has health care been required for any person.
Nine of the warnings are due to flooding; seven for obstacles in the road and traffic hazards; five for fires; four due to water leaks; three for damaged road furniture; a road accident without injuries and a power outage.
In total, around 75 calls have been answered in the 1-1-2 for thirty incidents related to storms, of which the emergency services in charge of their solution have been notified: State Security Forces and Bodies, Police Premises, Fire Fighting Services, Civil Protection, Railway Infrastructure Administrator, etc.
